Thankfully, over the past few years, specifiers
are designing special bricks back into the overall scheme. This
no doubt adds aesthetically an improved finish to the development
– not to mention adding quality to the completed architecture.

Are available in most brick types and in the majority of situations
are used on sensitive areas of the building usually prone
to frost attack. Therefore, all brick and specials supplied
are fully frost resistant and all to British standard.

– To overcome, sometimes urgent requirements,
a large selection of specials are available immediately in red,
buff and blue in both wirecut and smooth finishes. These include
plinths, bullnose, cappings and copings.

From drawings, many varied brick arches are manufactured to
suit. These bricks are either individually produced or cut
from oversized bricks. Prefabricated arches are available
in standard format, lightweight block backed or concrete backed
for heavy duty situations. |
– Increasing element in the brick specials
industry. Brick specials are created by diamond cutting standard
facings, and joints are made up from an epoxy resin. Applied mainly
in urgent situations for speed of contract and the majority of use
is for external/internal angels (doglegs). This guarantees perfect
colour match with main standard facings.

We are increasingly requested to match existing brick
specials and arches to assist in restoration and remedial
schemes. Moulds can be taken, enabling a satisfactory reproduction
for matching.

– The majority of special bricks in large
quantities are applied to engineering schemes. Large range of low
water absorption, high crushing strength, minimal tolerance specials
in a wide colour range. Also available is outsized specials to accommodate
railway canal bridges and public areas.

Many specialist coping and capping systems to assist in engineering,
marine, and vandal proof situations. Modern technology and
manufacturing processes now ensure that many large coping
requirements can now be made in one piece, minimising the
risk of vandalism.

– Date stamps, patterned logos,
corporate signs are all achievable in a carved or colour embossed
finish. Sizes range, anything from 65mm x 200mm up to 300mm high
x 600mm long. Can produce artwork from drawings supplied.

Many size formats and colours available from simple brick
up to block size. Costs usually attributed to units required.
