Cosmetic Chimneys

Modern roofing venting systems have made the use of traditional chimneys all but obsolete. However – there is now an increasing interest from designers, planners and the Conservation Sector to redesign chimneys back into housing developments.

Both a standard cosmetic and flue ducted range of chimney systems are available, aimed at this increasing market. The range of ‘cosmetic chimneys’ is aesthetically pleasing , cost effective and also easy and quick to construct. The added benefit is no scaffolding is required.

Bricks are clad to a glass reinforced polyester (GRP). These are the same facings as used on the site thus guaranteeing a perfect colour match. Importantly, the mortar can also match – especially important on an end gable situation.

The complete system is constructed to save time, ensure roofing felt is not broken and trusses remain untouched. All roof types, truss centres and roof pitches can be accommodated including mid-range, end gable and monoridge.

 

There are six standard range chimney types which, due to modern manufacturing methods are all cost effective. Bespoke products can also be designed to suit all situations including the increasing market of restoration.
