Restoration & Remedial Advice

In the ever increasing market sector of property restoration, renovation, extensions and conservation, our company aim to supply a range of products and services which enable the specifier or designer to best match an existing property.

We offer advice and recommend samples which best compliment and match a property satisfying both the client and conservation requirements.

Via our extensive range of suppliers, in most cases small independent brick and stone works, we aim to offer a wide spectrum of recon-stone, facing bricks, paving, brick arches, and natural stone.

In some circumstances, we are also requested to match existing build with reclaimed materials which are sourced in all off the ranges listed above.

Services include best advice on the concept of brick and mortar colour tinting, brick cleaning, stone carvers/restorers and our indigenous matching service. These give the architect/client a complete portfolio of services to best maintain the original character of the building, be it English Heritage, National or Historic Trust or all grades of listing.

Facing Brick

All major national brick and stone suppliers now manufacture a range of facings to match existing buildings. The smaller independent producers, however, focus more on the sector of ‘match ups’. All of these specialise in ‘bespoke blending’ of colours to enable near perfect match ups. Large size variations are also available from 2” to 3” on height and up to 240mm on length. A Large range of outsized brick specials are also available to suit canal sides, copings and cappings.

Natural/Recon Stone

Most bespoke specials can be reproduced to match existing, in either recon or natural stone. Natural Stone includes granites, marbles, slates, limestones, and sandstones. Many colours are now available in recon stone.

Paving

There is a large range of clay brick pavers, cobbles and natural stones. These include granite setts in both silver grey and yellow in a variety of sizings. Natural Stone flags range from UK based Yorkstones, sandstones and limestones to some of the worlds most noted quarries.

In clay, a wide range of paver edgings are available or alternatively, any pattern can be replicated via a mould.

Brick Arches

Many older properties incorporated into the design, a range of sometimes unusual brick arches. We can supply both prefabricated and concrete/lightweight block backed arch systems. These are either individually manufactured or achieved by cutting down oversized standard bricks. On production of drawings, most designs can be catered for.

Easipoint

One of the market specialists in the re-pointing of masonry joints. Extensive range of quick, cost effective gun-injected mortars to suit all applications including exposed areas, brick clad systems, soft stonework, damp conditions, marine environment situations and mortars suitable for civil engineering requirements. Lime putty mortars also available.

Cosmetic Remedial Tinting

Building Cosmetic Services supply a brick, stone and mortar colour tinting application service to the construction industry.

Silicate based paints and tints are applied to help match new brick and stonework with that of more weathered existing materials.

Reclaims

Ever growing industry of reclaimed pavers, facings and natural stone, now a large selection of reclaimed bricks in most colours and sizes. There is a growing market supply of reclaimed tiles.
